摘要: Objective:Dietary patterns have been pointed out as useful diet quality indicators, but evidence about their relationship to metabolic phenotypes is still scarce. Thus, the present study aimed verify between dietary and in Brazilian adults.Design:Cross-sectional study. A food consumption frequency questionnaire assessed profiles. Metabolic were defined based on criteria of National Health Nutrition Examination Survey: overweight or normal weight metabolically healthy (MHOW MHNW) unhealthy (MUOW MUNW). Dietary established through exploratory factor analysis principal component analysis. The associations tested using multinomial logistic regression.Setting:Vicosa, Minas Gerais, Brazil.Participants:Individuals (n 896) aged 20–59 years both sexes, selected probabilistic sampling.Results:Three identified: Unhealthy pattern (alcoholic beverages, oils fats, condiments, soda juice, sugars sweets, snacks, meat derivatives), Traditional (culinary preparations, beans, milk dairy products, coffee tea) Healthy (vegetables fruits, whole grains, chicken fish, skimmed milk). was positively associated with MHOW MUOW fourth quartile (OR = 1·84; 95 % CI 1·06, 3·22) third 1·94; 1·11, 3·39) 2·56; 1·41, 4·64) quartiles consumption, respectively. also these phenotypes.Conclusions:Both comprising energy-dense foods healthier among adults.
