摘要: Despite its decreasing incidence overall, gastric cancer is still a challenging disease. Therapy based mainly upon surgical resection when the tumour remains localised in stomach. Conventional chemotherapy may play role treating micrometastatic disease and effective as palliative therapy for recurrent or advanced However, knowledge of molecular pathways implicated pathogenesis infancy contribution biology to development new targeted therapies far behind other more common cancers such breast, colon lung. This review will focus first on difference two well defined types cancer: intestinal diffuse. A discussion cell origin with some intriguing data implicating bone marrow derived cells follow, comprehensive different genetic alterations detected cancer, underlining those that have clinical, therapeutic prognostic implications.
