摘要: Gastric cancer is a global health burden and has the highest incidence in East Asia. This disease complex nature because it arises from multiple interactions of genetic, local environmental, host factors, resulting biological heterogeneity. genetic intricacy converges on molecular characteristics reflecting pathophysiology, tumor biology, clinical outcome. Therefore, understanding at genomic level pivotal to improving care patients with gastric cancer. A recent landmark study, The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) project, showed landscape through comprehensive evaluation 295 primary cancers. proposed classification divided into four subtypes: Epstein-Barr virus-positive, microsatellite unstable, stable, chromosomal instability. information will be taken account future trials translated therapeutic decisions. To fully realize benefit, many challenges must overcome. Rapid growth high-throughput biology functional validation targets further deepen our knowledge dimensions this cancer, allowing for personalized precision medicine.
