摘要: Background and Objective The relationship between survival in gastric cancer patients the status of microsatellite instability (MSI) has not yet been established. The purpose this meta-analysis was to obtain integrated more precise data for value MSI as a prognostic marker cancer. Methods A comprehensive systematic review were conducted using major electronic databases (PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Central) with keywords related “microsatellite instability,” “gastric cancer,” “prognosis.” Results Twenty-four studies 5,438 participants (712 cases cancer) included pooling risk estimates cancer. Seventeen reported overall survival. pooled hazard ratio (HR) vs. non-MSI 0.72 (95%CI: 0.59–0.88, P = .001) random-effects model. In sensitivity analysis, result from most recent study showed heterogeneity. Conclusion MSI associated good prognosis but there heterogeneity studies. Changed epidemiology effects chemotherapy are potential causes heterogeneity. Establishing consensus defining should be preferred future J. Surg.
