摘要: The risk factors for compulsive exercise are unknown. This study aims to explore longitudinal sociocultural compulsive exercise, using a 12-month prospective design. A sample of 332 male and female adolescents (aged 13–15 years at baseline) completed self-report measures baseline eating disorder psychopathology compulsive exercise follow-up assessment. Hierarchical regressions found that family peer messages become more muscular predicted in boys, whereas feeling pressure from the media be thin was significant predictor girls. These relationships remained when controlling but became nonsignificant when initial levels were entered into model. findings suggest may contribute to development future research should utilise younger employ longer follow-up period identify true effects.
