Effective School-Linked Services Programs: Valuable Lessons from Past Collaborative Reform.

摘要: After approximately 20 years of developing collaborative delivery systems for children with disabilities, educational researchers have developed an extensive knowledge base. In effort to identify potential strategies and institutionalizing school-linked coordinated service at-risk youth, this paper examines collaboration under the Individuals Disabilities Act (IDEA). Research findings in following areas are presented: funding, parent involvement, accountability. School-linked social welfare services successfully used funding that attracted new revenue redirected existing categorical funds toward delivery. Strategies increased involvement based on direct, informal, personal forms communication, such as development volunteer programs, home visits, group meetings. Finally, holistic accountability structures been effectively develop individual outcome goals process Contains 50 references.
