摘要: Abstract After 2–3 weeks exposure to hexachlorophane, maximum motor nerve conduction velocity in sciatic nerves of rats was reduced by 7.5% and evoked muscle action potential amplitude 9%. Histological examination at this stage showed intramyelin oedema affecting some fibres axonal degeneration other fibres. longer periods fell further. Velocity 27% after 6–7 months treatment. In addition degeneration, segmental demyelination present animals intoxicated for more than three months. There no correlation between the degree reduction velocity. It is concluded that has little or effect on Nodes Ranvier are normal early stages lesion may contribute preservation conduction. The electrophysiological findings can be attributed secondary changes demyelination.
