摘要: Abstract The paper presents use of multifunctional median lanes in two-lane two-way roads instead paved shoulders on national through villages. Traffic safety problems caused by and reasons for their reconstruction are listed, followed description purpose cross-sections with lanes. Efficiency analyses several factors described, including: travel time, risk exposure, accidents, victims, speed headways. Additionally observations the lane drivers results road users’ satisfaction surveys presented. authors conclude that more beneficial than special design guidelines needed.
