摘要: Hypertrophic osteoarthropathy (HOA) is a syndrome characterized by abnormal proliferation of skin and periosteal tissues the extremities. It can be rare hereditary disease (pachydermoperiostosis) or secondary to various diseases, though mostly lung malignancies. Here, we report an unusual clinical presentation HOA. A 77-year-old man presented with fever, diarrhea, oligoarthritis involving left knee ankles. Since synovial fluid aspiration revealed aseptic synovitis Clostridium Difficile toxin was detectable in stool samples, reactive arthritis induced colitis initially suspected.
