摘要: PURPOSE To describe factors identified by nurses that promote kangaroo holding in the Special Care Nursery (SCN) environment. STUDY DESIGN AND METHODS Descriptive survey. Sixty-seven experienced registered completed a survey to identify support implementation of holding, including assessment strategies infant and family, staffing requirements, necessary environmental considerations at 70-bed tertiary care, Level III SCN. RESULTS Although primary factor for implementing was assessed physiologic stability (stated 98.5% nurses), other as integral components included adequate patterns, maternal readiness, encouragement from management. Nurses with 5 or more years SCN practice were likely implement care (KC) an intervention attachment any gestational age neonate. CLINICAL IMPLICATIONS The this study management essential utilizing KC, "educational programs," "adequate staffing" (so coworkers could help if necessary), "encouragement" practicing nurse instituting KC. Nursing managers can use information start KC programs their settings include education staff, appropriate allow time parent education, supportive approach toward fostering among infants parents.
