摘要: Aims The current study was designed to re-examine the motivation matching hypothesis from Project MATCH using growth mixture modeling, an analytical technique that models variation in individual drinking patterns. Design, setting and participants Secondary data analyses of (n = 1726), a large multi-site alcoholism treatment-matching study. Measurements Percentage days primary outcome measure, assessed 1 month 12 months following treatment. Treatment assignment, alcohol dependence symptoms baseline percentage were included as covariates. Findings results provided support for out-patient sample among females aftercare sample: majority individuals with lower had better outcomes if assigned enhancement treatment (MET) compared those cognitive behavioral (CBT). In there moderating effect gender severity, whereby males greater drank more frequently MET CBT. Conclusions Results lend partial motivation-matching also demonstrated importance influences on effectiveness. Based upon these findings, low settings levels or may benefit motivational techniques than cognitive–behavioral techniques.
