摘要: To compare the value of strain and rate imaging in assessing regional myocardial function to that velocities, we studied 10 patients late after successful percutaneous atrial septal defect closure. Analysis was performed for longitudinal peak systolic velocity, strain, from midsegment interatrial septum, correspondence device, lateral left wall. Placing sample volume middle part occluder, a bulky noncontractile element, passively moved by global heart motion, new ultrasonic-derived deformation indexes demonstrated almost absence any deformations, whereas velocities failed significantly discriminate between this noncontracting structure normal
