摘要: OBJECTIVE To evaluate the impacts of transcatheter closure for atrial septal defect (ASD) on atria. METHODS Thirty-four patients with ASD undergoing occlusion were recruited in study, and 34 surgical operation healthy children age-matched as controls. A real time three-dimensional (RT3DE) echocardiography was used to measure volume, function, synchronicity RESULTS There no difference volume function between group control (P > 0.05). However, parameters reflecting asynchrony larger < Compared repair group, had smaller maximum left atrium (21.0 +/- 5.2 ml/m(2) vs 24.3 5.8 ml/m(2), P = 0.01), total emptying (12.7 4.3 15.1 3.8 0.014), right (13.5 16.1 4.7 0.029), systolic indices. CONCLUSIONS An is observed ASD, although little negative are demonstrated, which deserves more attention during follow-up this specific population.
