摘要: In any ecological risk assessment, a full complement of the relevant members ecosystems being studied should be considered. Reptiles in general, and snakes particular, are important although often neglected components terrestrial aquatic included study on environmental contamination. By neglecting reptiles, risks posed by particular contaminant cannot fully assessed. Since all secondary, tertiary, top predators, they susceptible to bioaccumulation contaminants. Their unique life histories make their roles food webs diverse important, crucial proper functioning many processes. We review summarize organic inorganic radionuclide/radiation residue lethal sublethal effects data for stress importance encourage inclusion assessments, demonstrate paucity available reveal main information gaps, further ecotoxicological studies snakes, facilitate use existing snake assessments. This is most comprehensive currently accumulation contaminants snakes.
