摘要: Abstract: This chapter begins by discussing the development and features of two most widely used rodent models for human colorectal cancer, namely azoxymethane-induced rat colon carcinogenesis ApcMin/+ mice models. Then it reviews results from studies using these that have identified many potential preventive dietary components against cancer. The major discussed are (1) fat such as fish oil, alpha-linolenic acid, conjugated linoleic linolenic acid; (2) fiber inulin-type fructans, resistant starch, wheat bran; (3) tea polyphenols.
