摘要: The present Venezuelan population is the product of admixture Amerindians, Europeans, and Africans, a process that was not homogeneous throughout country. Blood groups, short tandem repeats (STRs), mtDNA, Y-chromosome markers have been used successfully in studies, but few such studies conducted Venezuela. In this study we aim to estimate components samples from two different socioeconomic levels Caracas, Venezuela's capital city, compare their differences, infer sexual asymmetry European Amerindian union patterns. Gene frequencies for blood groups ABO Rh (CDE) STRs VWA, F13A01, FES/FPS mtDNA haplogroups were studied sample 60 individuals living taken private clinic (high level), 50 individuals, also drawn public maternity (low level). analysis five autosomal gives high component (0.78) an almost negligible African sub-Saharan (0.06) level, whereas low level sub-Saharan, European, 0.21, 0.42, 0.36, respectively. Estimates based on reveal contribution these Caracas entirely through females, because chromosomes found scarce. Our reveals identification grandparents' geographic origin important methodological aspect take into account genetic related reconstruction historical events.
