摘要: The level of heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) in the normal striatum is below limit immunodetection. However, HO-1 overexpressed both neural and non-neural cells response to a wide range lesions. We induced different types lesions affecting striatal or main afferent systems rats investigate if overexpression could be useful histochemical marker damage. Thirty-six hours after intrastriatal intraventricular injection excitotoxins that affect neurons (ibotenic acid) neurotoxins dopaminergic (6-hydroxydopamine) serotonergic (5,7-dihydroxytriptamine) terminals, surgical lesioning cortico-striatal projections, there was intense induction immunoreactivity (HO-1-ir). Double immunolabeling revealed HO-1-ir located glial cells. After ibotenic acid, central zone neuronal degeneration contained numerous round pseudopodic cells, surrounded by ring most which were immunoreactive for astroglial markers. Intraventricular more evenly distributed throughout lesioned denervated areas. microglial also observed areas subjected mechanical markedly lower absent 1 week lesion, even so 3 weeks after, although some still acid corticostriatal deafferentation. results indicate determination early stages
