摘要: Recent studies suggest that interleukin-6 (IL-6) is produced in the intestinal mucosa during sepsis and endotoxemia enterocyte may be a source of IL-6 these conditions. The regulation production not fully understood. We tested hypothesis regulated by proinflammatory cytokines. This was done treating cultured Caco-2 cells, transformed human epithelial cell line, with different concentrations tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha), IL-1 beta, or interferon-gamma (IFN-gamma). cells determined ELISA. expression mRNA reverse-transcriptase polymerase chain reaction. unstimulated cells. Treatment beta resulted dose- time-dependent stimulation maximal effect noted at an concentration .5 ng/mL 24 h. IFN-gamma alone did stimulate but potentiated synergistic fashion. induced response noticed after 30 min. TNF-alpha influence results stimulated this IFN-gamma. specific for since neither TNF nor production.
