摘要: The wide deployment of Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN) and the advent Third Generation (3G) networks have provided users with flexibility switching between dissimilar while running different applications. A Mobile Terminal (MT) can be equipped multimodal functionalities, select wireless interface that best suits its needs. This paper specifically focuses on web-browsing application, models user-perceived performance for an MT operating over a WLAN/3G environment. system model is proposed facilitates evaluation sessions in terms network metrics. effect user mobility variations characteristics are incorporated. simulation framework has been developed results generated presented to demonstrate utility data-session modeling handover algorithms this paper.
