Translation, Cultural Adaptation, and Preliminary Evaluation of the Spanish Version of the Transgender Voice Questionnaire for Male-to-Female Transsexuals (TVQ MtF)

摘要: Summary Objective This study aimed to perform translation, cross-cultural adaptation, and validation of the Spanish version Transsexual Voice Questionnaire for Male-to-Female Transsexuals (TVQ MtF ). Study Design is a prospective study. Setting The was conducted by Gender Identity Unit tertiary hospital referral center surgical feminization voice. Subjects Methods had two parts: translation adaptation TVQ with following actions: (with authorization consensus authors original questionnaire), back-translation, pretesting, final version; preliminary psychometric properties (feasibility, internal consistency, test-retest reliability, construct validity, discriminant ceiling floor effects). Thirty male-to-female transsexual women filled out questionnaire, 18 30 questionnaire approximately 2 weeks after filling it first time. Results Feasibility 100%. Cronbach α 0.976. intraclass correlation coefficient 0.885. Spearman between physical component SF-12 v2 0.102 ( P value = 0.592) mental −0.263 value = 0.161). A effect not found. found in questionnaires (6.7%). Conclusion Feasibility, reliability outcomes our support validity authorized .
