摘要: It has been suggested that sex judgments of male-to-female transsexuals based on the voice may be influenced by physical appearance clients. To explore this hypothesis, a listener experiment was designed in which panel 22 laypersons and students speech-language pathology rated "femaleness" fourteen from video-recorded speech samples three modes presentation: auditory-only presentation, visual-only audiovisual presentation. Results indicate are indeed interacting factors. Ratings presentation were significantly lower than ratings higher those follows success training is not solely dependent vocal characteristics pathologists should consider incorporating as treatment outcome variable transsexuals.
