摘要: Objectives To investigate the relationship between foveal morphology and self-perceived visual function in patients with neovascular age-related macular degeneration (AMD) whether characteristics are associated Ranibizumab treatment response on function. Methods This prospective cohort study included newly diagnosed AMD found eligible for Ranibizumab. Foveal of both eyes was assessed using spectral-domain optical coherence tomography all were interviewed 39-item National Eye Institute Visual Function Questionnaire (VFQ). Patients re-interviewed 3 12 months after initiation We evaluated at baseline relation to VFQ scores clinically meaningful changes months. Results VFQ correlated central thickness, thickness neuroretina (CFN), RPE elevation, integrity photoreceptor inner segment/outer segment junction (IS/OS), external limiting membrane. In a multiple linear regression model, only best-corrected acuity better eye (p<0.001) IS/OS status (p = 0.012) remained significant (Adjusted R2 0.418). Lower CFN within 170–270 µm increase months. An absent band decrease months. Conclusions Foveal influences possesses predictive value change treatment. These findings may help clinicians provide more individualized information their disease prognosis from patient-perceived point-of-view.
