摘要: Background Recent studies have suggested that nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) reduce the risk of gastrointestinal cancer, and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) may be a target enzyme for prevention or regression cancer by use NSAIDs. Mucin histochemistry has made possible clear distinction between differentiated characteristics epithelial cells, possibility phenotypic shifts from gastric- to intestinal-type in gastric carcinoma progression been suggested. To evaluate role COX-2 progression, we immunohistochemically investigated expression, examined its relationship proliferative activity, mucin phenotype, clinicopathological parameters human advanced carcinomas.
