摘要: A competitive exclusion culture (CE) containing a mixture of 29 different bacterial isolates obtained from the cecae broiler chickens was developed utilizing continuous-flow techniques. This (CF3) has been efficacious in controlling gut colonization by enteropathogens both experimentally infected broilers and under commercial field conditions. In day-old chicks provided CF3, challenged with 10,000 CFU Salmonella typhimurium greater than 99% reduction cecal levels observed compared to control chicks. Similarly, CF3 also shown protect S. enteritidis (Phage types 4 13), gallinarum, Listeria Monocytogenes, Escherichia coli O157:H7. product is sold tradename PREEMPT™. Food Drug Administration approved, double blinded, pivotal trial, treated PREEMPTT™ had significantly fewer salmonellae untreated at end-of-growout. first its kind available U.S. poultry industry. Using similar technology that decreases shedding neonate weaned pigs, reduce mortality associated young pigs laboratory swine herd.
