摘要: Two isoforms of the human cadherin-11/OB-cadherin gene, intact and variant forms, had been isolated from an osteosarcoma cDNA library. The form has a typical cadherin structure, whereas form, generated by alternative splicing, encodes cytoplasmic domain that is completely different lacks homophilic cell-cell adhesion ability. At protein level, secreted cadherin-11 present. We examined expression forms in 23 primary metastatic osteosarcomas 22 patients reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR. analyses, revealing all tumors expressed three them it prominently. On other hand, Western blot analyses six showed was strongly expressed, furthermore, N-cadherin extremely low. Overexpression cell lines demonstrated derived osteosarcoma. Immunohistochemically, cadherin-11, N-cadherin, β-catenin were at surface fetal osteoblasts, cells, they only focally or weakly cytoplasm. Considering function carcinomas, suggested anomalous reduced play role metastasis irregular morphology highly malignant mesenchymal tumor.
