Assessing Personality: The Temperament and Character Inventory in a Cross-Cultural Comparison between Germany, Sweden, and the USA

摘要: In this study the American, Swedish, and German versions of Temperament Character Inventory were compared based on samples 300 healthy volunteers each, which had been carefully matched for age sex. The analyses indicate a high agreement scores temperament character dimensions subscales across samples. Exceptions include minor differences that appear to be due cultural variations, in sampling methods, some difficulties with two (Exploratory Excitability Self-acceptance) as well defining Persistence factor an independent dimension Temperament. yielded similar internal consistencies, correlational structure, structures, congruence coefficients. results cross-cultural transferability inventory. Also, validity stability seven-factor model personality, suggested by Cloninger, is supported.
