摘要: We have evaluated radial bone mass and sex steroid concentrations in a group of postmenopausal white type 2 diabetics, that at greatest risk developing osteoporosis. The linear regression midshaft on age for 79 patients showed rate loss about half the normals. These data suggest is lost slower by this group, difference cannot be explained obesity or glucose control alone. A subset 40 these subjects was chosen further study. As expected, women had significantly higher than normals; addition, they were heavier (82.4 ± 2.7 kg v 65.3 1.8 kg, P .5) not different. Multiple analysis indicates excess level estrone concentration among diabetics increased with degree obesity. explanation lower other steroids known.
