摘要: Buildings are responsible for approximately 36% of carbon emissions in the European Union. Besides, gradual aging and a lack adaptability flexibility buildings often lead to destructive interventions, resulting not only higher costs but also large amount construction demolition waste (CDW). Recently, an innovative system (Ref. VEEP project) has been developed recycle CDW manufacturing energy-efficient prefabricated concrete elements (PCE) new building construction. By applying life cycle costing (LCC) assessment (LCA), this study aimed determine whether use PCE leads lower emission associated over exemplary four-story residential Netherlands than business-as-usual (BAU) scenario. This paper provides case on alignment and/or integration LCA LCC independent combined manner (via monetization). examines how internalization discount rate will affect final 40-year span. The simulation results show that key economic viability environmental soundness is reduce production cost optimize thermal performance novel isolation material Aerogel; external monetarizes advantage thus slightly expands low options, larger uncertainty about result.
