摘要: The transport of d-alanine, d-glutamic acid, and d-valine in Mycobacterium smegmatis was compared quantitatively with that their l-isomers. It appeared the uptake d-alanine mediated by an active process displaying saturation kinetics characteristic enzyme function, whereas acid accomplished a passive showing diffusion kinetics. Both processes were involved l-alanine, l-glutamic d-valine, l-valine. d-Valine competed l-valine for entry into cell through single process. d-Alanine l-alanine also utilized same process, but d-isomer could not enter exhibited characteristics diffusion, sensitive to sulfhydryl-blocking reagents showed competition among structurally related amino acids. These last findings suggested is facilitated diffusion.
