摘要: The occurrence of antibiotic resistant and metal tolerant coliform organisms was investigated in unpolluted upstream polluted downstream Gomati River water. Increased levels resistance were found among thermotolerant coliforms which included many multiple antibiotic-resistant (MAR) strains. Transmissibility demonstrated 55.7% MAR isolates the rate transfer between 1.36×10-4 1.8×10-11. Upstream more to aluminium copper than isolates. Downstream exhibited tolerance mercury occurred frequently isolation mercury-tolerant strains highest during winter months.
