摘要: Abstract A two-dimensional form of the Boussinesq equations is integrated numerically for case a rectangular channel with temperature gradient maintained along bottom. The side walls are insulating, top wall has constant temperature, and velocity obeys free boundary conditions on all four walls. fields stream function departure represented by truncated double Fourier series, integration initial-value problem spectral amplitudes results in steady states which agree qualitatively those previous experimental theoretical investigations. Calculations presented at two levels truncation (wave numbers 2 3) wide range Prandtl moderate horizontal Rayleigh temperatures.
