摘要: Abstract : A laboratory convection experiment was performed as a model of the thermohaline circulation oceans with rotating square container. Differential beating applied along bottom container using an electrical heater and constant temperature cooling plate. The focus given to scaling laws for meridional heat transport thermal boundary layer. Comparisons earlier studies suggest that mostly due geostrophic flows minor contribution friction at bottom. same applies law from (geostrophic law) two box study stability circulation. shows if effects Earth's rotation are included, it is less likely have catastrophic transition under present conditions.
