摘要: Recent evidence indicates that a major fraction of diacylglycerol is produced in hormonally stimulated cells arises by phosphatidylcholine hydrolysis via the sequential action phospholipase D and phosphatidic acid phosphohydrolase (PAP). We have previously reported sphingoid bases stimulate activity NG108-15 cells. The presented here demonstrates sphingosine-treated cells, elevated levels are accompanied parallel, time- dose-dependent decrease levels. DL-propranolol, known inhibitor PAP, exerted similar effects, suggesting sphingosine may been due to inhibition PAP activity. This prediction was confirmed vitro experiments which it demonstrated as potent an both cytosolic membrane-associated propranolol. hypothesis exert dual signal termination proposed.
