摘要: Background and Aim Excessive use of trypanocidal drugs can lead to cases drug resistance. Multiple resistance have been widely reported for such as isometamidium chloride diminazene aceturate. These deserve serious attention, especially in Indonesia, where the first case was recorded molecular basis has never evaluated. This study aimed analyze multidrug protein (MRP) gene Trypanosoma evansi isolates, sampled from by focusing on phylogenetic relationship between these isolates other spp. Materials Methods A total 88 blood samples were drawn buffaloes Ngawi district, Indonesia. Animals infected with T. detected through microhematocrit technique Giemsa smear methods. Positive used inoculate male mice (Mus musculus BALB-C strain) an animal model culturing evansi. The genomic DNA taken evansi- polymerase chain reaction amplification, sequencing, analysis. Results Two genes analyzed; corresponded Trypanosomabrucei a homology 99% second brucei gambiense, 100%. two MRP showed clear similarity MRPE MRPA ssp. Conclusion is conserved subspecies level brucei. Only few point mutations found various sequences, which mean that proteins same structure. important treat parasite appropriate future.
