摘要: Ten monoclonal antibodies raised against Alzheimer's neurofibrillary tangles (ANTs) were characterized for reactivity with heat-stable microtubule fractions from bovine and human brain. Five of the showed very little reaction, but other five reacted strongly associated proteins (MAPs). The recognized by these have estimated molecular weights similar to those known MAPs, tau (52-68 kd) MAP2 (200-250 kd). That are indeed is demonstrated reaction electroblotted in mouse guinea pig brain MAP2. One anti-ANT antibody reacts only tau, two bind weakly MAP2, one recognizes both equally well, primarily stains Extraction ANT 2% SDS does not remove or epitopes ANT, indicating that shared MAPs integral components ANT. existence also immunoblotting ANT-enriched anti-tau antibodies. Whether this due biochemical modification absence some unknown. significance what appear implications may on pathogenesis formation, requires further investigation.
