摘要: We studied the effects of regular aspirin on human stomach by endoscopy in 15 volunteers divided equally into three groups. Each had a normal baseline endoscopy. In Group I, two or placebo tablets were administered suspended 100 cc water and endoscopic assessment made over hour, at four hours, 24 hours. II, way cross-over, blinded study we compared hours' ingestion 3.25 g placebo. III subjects received aspirin, times daily for weeks. multiple petechiae (p less than 0.05) developed fundus antrum one hour still visible hours 80%. produced antral erosions 0.05 vs. placebo) all duodenal half. Antral common. III, control) 50% but only subject petechiae. Acute administration appears to cause predominantly petechial hemorrhage while longer term causes erosions. Regular recommended doses weeks produces endoscopically gastroduodenal damage majority subjects.
