摘要: Scintigraphy is currently the reference standard for diagnosing feline hyperthyroidism; however, computed tomography (CT) more widely available in veterinary practice. The purposes of this prospective study were to describe CT appearance thyroid glands cats with hyperthyroidism and compare findings from (99m) Tc-pertechnetate scintigraphy. Twenty-five adult hyperthyroid included. Plain images acquired each cat following characteristics recorded lobe: visibility, delineation, position, attenuation, shape, subjective size. Scintigraphic also recorded: radiopharmaceutical uptake, ectopic foci, In images, lobes most commonly found between second fourth cervical vertebrae, dorsolateral trachea. Affected (based on scintigraphy standard) oval moderately enlarged images. A heterogeneous attenuation pattern (isoattenuating adjacent soft tissues hypo- hyperattenuating foci) was affected lobes. positive correlation (P < 0.01) identified left-to-right lobe size relationship larger lobe. estimated mass significantly higher (median = 148.8; range [0;357.6]) active compared less 84.6; [0;312.3]); (W 154; P 0.01). Findings indicated that may not reliably differentiate unilateral vs. bilateral cats; be a reliable alternative test correctly identifying
