Observation of electromagnetically induced absorption in 87Rb D2 line in strong transverse magnetic field

摘要: We have studied electromagnetically induced absorption in the rubidium-87 D2 line using pump−probe spectroscopy. The experiment was done presence of an external transverse magnetic field with low pump intensity. Two cases viz. beam polarization parallel and perpendicular respect to orientation applied were investigated (probe probe beam). observed two well-resolved N-type systems for field. For orientation, became superimposed, not obtained. observations made been explained by effect optical pumping. calculated spectra found be good agreement experimental observation. Lande-g factor ground state excited experimentally evaluated theoretical values up 43 G.
