摘要: The interaction between organ-resident cells from the anterior uvea of eye and T helper (Th) was investigated. Cells Lewis rat ciliary body processes (CB cells), grown in tissue culture using an explant technique, could be induced to express major histocompatibility complex class II (Ia) antigens by incubation with interferon-gamma. Ia+ CB only poorly functioned as antigen-presenting (APC) for a syngeneic, uveitogenic Th cell line specific retinal soluble antigen (SAg). Moreover, if added Ag-driven lymphocyte proliferation assay presence conventional APC, had inhibiting effect on proliferation. This inhibitory activity not species specific, since similar effects were observed bovine human epithelial cells. suppressive composed factor, well membrane-associated inhibitor. did appear related transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-beta), no reversal inhibition neutralizing antibody TGF-beta found. Part reversed indomethacin treatment. component trypsin sensitive, suggesting protein molecule. After abrogation capacity treatment fixation glutaraldehyde, effectively presented SAg These data suggest that are capable mediating both Ag presentation
