摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter reviews the main function of rat kidney. The principal role urinary system is to excrete waste products that are derived from protein metabolism, and regulate electrolyte water homeostasis. other regulation red blood cell mass via erythropoietin, control pressure through renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system, calcium phosphate metabolism 1,25(OH)2-vitamin D parathyroid hormone. A variety pathophysiological alterations can cause perturbations in renal function. Acute or chronic injury kidneys results failure which, when progressive, leads a state endogenous intoxication termed “uremia.” 5/6th nephrectomy model, for example, has been used extensively study mechanisms progression rat, valuable therapeutic strategies human diseases could be these experiment.
