摘要: Objectives/Hypothesis Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) occurs infrequently in the larynx. Consequently, no large samples describing its clinical behavior are available literature. Our objective was to use a nationally representative population-based resource evaluate behavior, patient demographics, and outcomes among patients diagnosed with laryngeal ACC (LACC). Study Design Retrospective database analysis. Methods The National Cancer Institute's Surveillance, Epidemiology, End Results analyzed for LACC between 1973 2011. Patient incidence, treatment, survival other malignancies were compared. Results Of 69 patients, 63.8% female, 78.2% Caucasian, median age 54 years. much more likely have subglottic lesions (44.9%) than individuals (1.6%). The incidence of 0.005/100,000 individuals. majority harbored T4 at initial diagnosis, although 87.9% had N0 disease, only 6.1% distant metastasis diagnosis. Disease-specific (DSS) greater 1 year compared malignancies, but not 5 or 10 Five-year DSS who underwent surgery versus those did undergo surgery. Conclusions This analysis notes that has low significant change over study period. Compared female preponderance, is common subglottis, presents younger age, often disease. Surgery noted confer advantage LACC. Level Evidence 4. Laryngoscope, 125:2485–2490, 2015
