摘要: Betahydroxy-beta-methylbutyrate (HMB) is a branched-chain metabolite of the amino acid L-Leucine, synthesized in liver and muscle cells. It shows many functional properties observed as therapeutic effect deseases, highlighting those with proteic catabolism nd anticatabolic effect, being related to increase strength mass, therefore, without treatment sarcopenia. This study literature review not classified PubMed, eduCAPES, ResearchGate database keywords "beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutyrate" or "HMB", "anabolic HMB", "dietary sources" HMB". The terms were designated, that prevail are factor differentiation factors, standing out their anabolic reduction body fat.
