摘要: Abstract The nucleotide sequence of the protective antigen (PA) gene from Bacillus anthracis and 5′ 3' flanking sequences were determined. PA is one three proteins comprising anthrax toxin; its first to be reported B. . open reading frame (ORF) 2319 bp long, which 2205 encode 735 amino acids secreted protein. This region preceded by 29 codons, appear a signal peptide having characteristics in common with those other proteins. A consensus TATAAT was located at putative −10 promoter site. Shine-Dalgarno site similar that found genes sp. 7 upstream ATG start codon. codon usage for reflected high + T (69%) base composition differed bacterial most examined. TAA translation stop followed an inverted repeat forming potential termination signal. In addition, 192-codon ORF unknown significance, theoretically encoding 21.6-kDa protein, end gene.
