摘要: Virgiri rodents exhibiting cycling estrus have traditionally been used for comparative studies of reproductive behavior. However occurs in other life-history contexts, some which differ from (CE) that (a) the female is disposed to behave both maternally and sexually (b) they result litter overlap (i.e., simultaneous gestation lactation two litters). In this report, these modes are examined, with emphasis on their evolutionary ecological implications. By means a literature search order Rodentia, postpartum (PPE) lactational (LE) were documented 15 families, 71 genera, 141 species. Analysis data showed PPE LE nonrandomly distributed across taxa. They statistically overrepresented family Cricetidae underrepresented squirrels (Sciuridae) pocket mice kangaroo rats (Heteromyidae). phenotypes by achieved suggests important differences between them CE several parameters effort breeding strategy, including maternal copulatory behavior, optimal timing litters, hormonal control heat lactation.
