摘要: The purpose of this study was to determine effect repeated exposure sub-inhibitory concentrations amoxicillin/clavulanic acid on the development resistance in Streptococcus pneumoniae. Other agents, azithromycin, cefaclor and levofloxacin, were also tested. Twenty S. pneumoniae passaged for 9 days presence each antimicrobial agent MICs determined by NCCLS macro-dilution method. There a four-fold increase 2 20 isolates. Three tested against cefaclor, 11 13 azithromycin levofloxacin showed ≥4-fold increase. Amoxicillin/clavulanic most stable agents Cefaclor fairly stable. Azithromycin affected.
