Establishing a successful physical activity program to recruit and retain women

摘要: Abstract Increasingly, health organisations and governing bodies in developed countries are paying serious attention to the problem of adult inactivity. Many programs designed increase levels activity, particularly amongst target populations, such as women, have not been systematically assessed for their effectiveness recruiting women helping them maintain activity levels. The purpose this study was determine what attracted sustained participate physical programs. Responses from a survey sport recreation program providers identified 64 successful state Victoria, Australia. Eight these were purposively selected case analysis. Data collected focus group with participants each eight Six core themes emerged inductive content analysis groups. most frequent participant responses related social aspects exercise environment. Women groups valued instructor professionalism instructors’ technical knowledge, however, it awareness sensitivity that appreciated most. This exploratory is important because reflects voices talking about made them. raises critical questions should be examined through large-scale research field-based intervention studies, which turn stimulate development encourage activity.
