摘要: Abstract Statistical methods for the analysis of initial-velocity and/or inhibition data are described. They involve application F tests (i) to determine goodness fit first-order Michaelis-Menten equation, (ii) predict reaction mechanism by assessing slope and y -intercept effects in Lineweaver-Burk plots according inspection rules Cleland [Cleland, W. (1963) Biochim. Biophys. Acta 67 , 188–196], (iii) test linearity replots slopes or -intercepts versus reciprocal substrate concentration inhibitor concentration, (iv) estimate true K m i values from these replots.
