Speech patterns in video-mediated conversations

摘要: This paper reports on the first of a series analyses aimed at comparing same room and video-mediated conversations for multiparty meetings. study compared patterns spontaneous speech versus two conversations. One video system used single camera, monitor speaker, picture-in-a-picture device to display multiple people one screen. The other cameras, monitors, speakers in order support directional gaze cues selective listening. Differences were found between terms floor control amount simultaneous speech. While no differences systems objective measures, important are suggested discussed.
