摘要: Electroplated chromium (Cr) coatings with different hardness were clectrodeposited on steel substrate through adjusting the concentration of rare earth in a Sargent bath (CrO(3) 250 g/l, H(2)SO(4) 2.5 g/l). The results show that Si(3)N(4) ceramic counterpart, wear rate electroplated Cr increases increase owing to delamination mechanism; while decreases increasing thanks abrasion mechanism. mechanism may be dictated by adhesive force between sliding pairs and possibility abrasive particles formation weak counterpart can hardly result adhesion, transfer material ttibosurface coating, frictional shear energy tends transform dislocation deformation stored inside instead friction heat; therefore, is more likely occur tribosurface. Whereas, strong will tribosurface, would allowed cutting plough energy; hence, occur. (c) 2006 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
