SCIENCE AND GOVERNMENT: Improving Science and Technology Advice for Congress

摘要: The scientific and technical problems with which Congress must deal are becoming increasingly complex. issue is not lack of information--Congress deluged facts. What needed balanced, nonpartisan analysis synthesis that sorts, integrates, analyzes information in order to frame the issues, extract knowledge insight, lay out range policy options. This can best be done by a dedicated organization works exclusively for Congress. Scientists engineers, their professional societies, business community, individual citizens need become actively engaged supporting creation such an organization.
